January 2011
The month of December was awsome. It came with a long and needed break. During that break, I had lots of fun full of family and friends. On Christmas and New Years I was with my family and we really enjoyed being all together. I got to see my older brother and spend time with him. Now, before we went on break, we had finals. That week was stressful but I am glad to say that I passed all my finals. I really studied hard and tried my best. That is why when we got out for break, I was happy and ready to enjoy it. Sadly, it does not last forever and now we are back in school. I look forward to this new year and this school semester. I hope it is full of exciting activities.
September 2010
October is right around the corner and it seem like I've been in school for more that two months. School is going great but homework never seems to end. More projects are coming and the work adds up. The good thing is that only eight more months to go and then I'm off to college. It might seem like a long way to go but time goes by fast. I will be taking both the SAT and the ACT in October and I hope I get good scores. College application time is also just around the corner and time seems to slip out my hands. I am excited, but at the same time, frightened to go off to college. I hope that wherever I choose to go to college, it becomes a great experience and that I make the best of it. Some of the colleges I plan to apply to include the Master's College, St. Mary's College, Sacramento State University, Chico State, and Azusa College. Even though the thought of going to college might be a little frighteneing, I think that if I see it as a positive thing and make it an unforgetable experience, then I should be fine. But for now I think I should concentrate on my work and grades in high school and keep in mind that I can get through it.
March 2010
It's March and we just celebrated St. Patrick's Day. This school year has gone by so fast that it seems as if last year was just yesterday. The Sadie Hawkins Dance was in February and it was so much fun. My friends, my date, and I will certainly look back on that night as an unforgettable moment. I continue to enjoy all of my classes, and I especially love Thursdays when we have a late start and I can get a little more sleep! School is going great, though I have to admit, I love summer, too. I'm so glad summer is almost here. I'm excited for the rest of the school year and hope to improve my G.P.A. which is currently a 3.29. Ciao!
October 2009
Now that I have settled into this school year, many new things have occurred. I started receiving tutoring which has actually really helped because my classes seem to be getting a bit harder. Right now my favorite classes are History and French. I am really happy because I am doing very well in my French class. I am one of the top 5 people in the class with the highest grades. I feel proud of myself. I hope to go to France one day and use my French. Avoir! -which means goodbye!
September 2009
I am very excited as I write this for two reasons: tomorrow we have been given the day off school because we reached our magazine drive goal, and Saturday is the Holy Bowl. Holy Bowl is a game between Jesuit and Christian Brothers. It is a big tradition for both schools and the rivalry gets everyone's spirit going. I will surely go and support my school.
August 2009
As a Junior at Christian Brother High School, I have been off to an exciting start! I like all of the teachers I have, and plan to do my best to get good grades in every subject. Most exciting, I have joined the Student Ambassadors Club. I was invited to participate in this club because of my grades, and as a member, I will represent Christian Brothers at different events throughout the year. I was very happy when I received the letter of acceptance into the Student Ambassadors Club. I look forward to keeping my GPA up, and hope to be able to represent CB at some events.
