November 2011
November has been a hard month for me, but I have decided
not give up and to keep pushing through all the tough times. If one thing I’ve learned at MVP and by Frank
is to persevere through every obstacle that comes my way. I am trying very hard to keep my grades up
and keep active in my school work. I am
starting to study for finals. They are
coming up very soon. Wow! I can not believe how fast this semester has
gone by. But I am looking forward to the
rest of my short junior year and preparing for my senior year. Wow! So excited for that! Well thank you all for your support and wish
me luck!
October 2011
We just had our homecoming dance
this weekend. It was so much fun! I went to dinner with friends and we had a
blast. My birthday was during the week, so at the homecoming dinner they
surprised me. The waiters and everyone sang “Happy Birthday" to me in
Italian, and gave me a small chocolate cake. I thought that was very sweet of
them. I really enjoyed the dinner. At the dance we took pictures and danced all
night! The DJ was pretty good and everyone seemed to be having fun. I can’t
wait to see how the pictures come out. I can't wait for the next dance. I’ll keep you posted!
September 2011
This month we had the holy
bowl rally and my brother was a part of it. It was very fun, and I can honestly
say it was the best rally of all the years I've been here. My brother got all of the kids up to dance. I'm very proud that he actually danced in
front of the whole school by himself! The next day was Holy Bowl. I had an amazing
time with all my friends. We dressed in all blue to show our CB pride,
but unfortunately we could not pull out with a win. Next year
for sure! We have the PSAT next week and I hope that I do really well. Wish me luck! I’ll keep you posted.
August 2011
The beginning of my Junior year has been very different
from the years before. It has been nice to see my old classmates and meet new
ones. I'm really enjoying this year and even though it just started I have
already learned how hard it’s going to be. I know this year is supposed to be
the toughest, but I think
I will do alright. I'm taking Algebra 2, Church History, Ceramics, Honors French 3, Chemistry, US History, and
American Literature. I'm really enjoying my French
and Chemistry classes. I'm also enjoying most of my
teachers. I want to do well these next two years. I want to go to the University of San Francisco
and I will do whatever it takes to get there. Wish me luck and thank you for
all your support!
January 2011Well finals are over! Wow! I cannot believe how fast this semester has gone by and this year! I feel really good about my finals. This semester was hard for me. I had a few bad grades but brought them up at the end. This year was really tough and at times I had those feelings of just giving up. But I went through that phase of wanting to quit, but honestly I'm so glad I didn't. I'm glad I had the support of Frank and my family because in the end it's worth it. This year I'll just keep on trying and keep up the grades. Thanks for all your support and wish me luck!
October 2010It has been two months since I started my sophomore year. It is more difficult than last year. My classes are harder but I have really nice teachers who are very helpful. I enjoy all of my classes and get along with all my teachers and classmates. I am having a fun year and look foward to the rest of the year. I plan on maintaining a GPA of 3.0 and above. I am very happy at CB and am excited about what I am going to learn. Wish me luck!
September 2010I have been a sophomore for a month already, wow! I cannot believe how fast freshman year went. It is a little harder this year. I moved from regular French I to Accelerated French II. It's more difficult, but I like that it challenges me. Also I really think I have the funnest teachers this year. My favorite classes are Geometry and Biology. My teachers are great. They really care about the students and making them feel good about themselves. My Geometry teacher, Mr. Eckel, says that what he wants his students to leave his classroom with is confidence and that no one in the class is dumb, just him. He's super funny. Also, I enjoy Biology because my teacher, Ms. Virk, is very fun. She always has great labs (they mostly involve candies). Yum! Well, I look forward to the rest of the year.
October 2009We have just finished our first quarter and I'm keeping up my GPA. I have such great teachers and friends. Everything is going great and I hope it will continue if not even get better. In Literature class, we are reading "To Kill a Mocking Bird." It is a good and interesting book. It's my first time reading it and I haven't seen the movie. I get so into the novel when the kids do something that gets them in trouble. They are just so curious and it reminds me of how we were as children. I look forward to finishing it and watching the movie.
September 2009It's been over a month since school started, and it's been great! My religion class went on retreat a couple of Fridays ago. About sixty of us took a bus to a Christian Center in Loomis. I really enjoyed spending time with the other students. We got to know each other better, and it also helped us get closer to our teacher. We talked about how we felt when we started C.B., and I realized that we all had similar feelings. It was a great experience for me and I am looking forward to the next few months of school.
August 2009My second week at Christian Brothers High School is about to end, and I have survived! After six years of homeschooling, this transition to a large campus has been very different, but I am looking forward to the next four years.
Surprisingly, my favorite activity in school is football! Under the hot August sun, the girls gather each day to play flag football. We don't actually feel the heat while we play because we are so into the game. I never thought I would enjoy running and throwing a football! I love the feeling of catching a pass, or throwing the ball so that my teammate can score. Anyone would enjoy how we cheer each other on, and stay positive whether we win or lose. The best part of football is that we are not just teammates, but we're becoming friends.
