October 2011
October was a very fun month due to the homecoming rally that I was a part
of, and homecoming itself. My date and I had a great time both at dinner and
homecoming. I'm really glad my date said yes to being my date, because I don't
think I would have enjoyed that night as much as I did if she had said no. This
was also a very hectic month because our counselors filled our brains with
college information and about the next step in our journey. The end of this
month, Halloween, brought large amounts of candy to our homes and school.
September 2011
In the month of September our fall ball baseball season began. It was
good to see my teammates with a jovial and excited attitude out on that field. I also participated in our Holy Bowl rally where my classmate Josh Hammer and I
sang in front of the entire school. This last month I have been helping our
rally committee set up our rallies and dances. It feels good to be involved in
our school, and it’s also good to help out our student body. In the month of
October I will be participating in our Homecoming rally by singing once again. I’m really looking forward to the month of October, because God may do amazing
things.
August 2011
First of all, it feels good to be a senior. It’s
been four years that have taught me many things. I came into Christian Brothers
as just another SAGES student that now has worked hard to become a Lasallian
Student Leader. From the start I was identified as a leader and as a role model.
To many kids this would have been too much to carry on their shoulders, but for
me, I took it as an opportunity and title that many do not receive. The first
month of my senior year has come to a close but there are many more to come,
just as there will be many new experiences and life lessons.
January 2011Well, most of December was hard and intense due to finals. It was was hard up to finals then once finals were over our Christmas break relieved me from all the stress of school. Up to Christmas all I did was relax and rest at home with both of my sisters while my mother was at work most of the time. My family and I celebrated Christmas at my aunt's house with lots of family and friends. We all had a great time and we also had great food to eat. On New Years Eve I had to work untill 3:00 in tha morning. I was very tired and somewhat annoyed by all the people who were out celebrating in Old Sacramento. Over all, it was a year that taught me a lot and that also let me experince many life lessons. Thank to all the people that helped me get through this year.
October 2010As the second month of my junior years wraps up, I've gotten to know many things; school wise and Life wise. Its funny to see how work from school and an actual job get harder as one grows and gets older. But as MVP has taught me, if I use self-control and perseverance I will get through any obstacles that get in my way. I also continued the club I started for MVP last year at CB. Members of this club are going to go to MVP and help just as I was helped by CB students when I was just a little kid. Many of the kids that I'm going to take to MVP won't see it as I do. I see it as a way of giving back to the hand that fed me for many years. I've continued to played baseball at school and I'm still working hard to get the best out of me. Hey you never know, one day you might see me in the big leagues. :)

Early September 2010 The new school year is here and new experiences are yet to come. As I look at the freshmen and sophomores, I realize that I was once there and they will soon be where I'm at now. School is just getting started so we have not had a tremendous amount of homework. I'm really looking forward to this year because I know that there will be new experiences and also new doors that will hopefully open for me. Fall ball has just started so I'll be playing baseball for a while. Our new varsity team looks promising and hopefully we'll have a great season in the Spring when our games actually count. I'm also working now so I can make a little bit of extra money for my needs. Being back in school feels good because I'm back with my friends and with the great community we have at Christian Brothers.
January 2010The new semester has begun and so has the new year! I finished my last semester with a 3.0 G.P.A., but I am now maintaining a 3.5! Our baseball season will start on Feb. 10th, and we are currently in conditioning. Our team has been working so hard, and I feel confident that we will have a successful season. Earlier in the year my religion teacher and I started an MVP club at school. It is still going strong! Every Thursday a group of CB students goes to MVP after school to tutor the elementary kids with their homework and to lend a hand where needed.
October 2009We have just started our second quarter at CB and it is going great! The MVP club at CB is really coming along. I've been able to get some of my schoolmates to come to MVP and tutor the elementary students. It feels good to give back because when I see the kids that I help now, I know that one day they will have a chance at making changes in their lives and in their families' lives. Because of the tutors that helped me when I was young, I have been able to be at CB, and that's what I am trying to give back now.
September 2009Well, it's been almost two months and the quarter is soon to end. I am still playing Fall Ball (baseball) for C.B. and we have won three games straight. So far, we haven't lost a game. School is getting harder but I am persevering through it and keeping my G.P.A. higher than a 3.0. I am also in the process of starting a club at C.B. that will help kids in our community with their needs. I'm starting this club because when I was younger, students from C.B. would come to MVP and help me with my homework, so now I'm giving back.
August 2009This is the second week of my second year at Christian Brothers High School. School is getting harder day by day. In addition to my studies, I've started baseball conditioning for fall ball, and I think we are going to have a great season. Last year, I applied to be a part of the KBFT class and I was accepted. I am now learning how to produce and edit the films that appear on the Christian Brothers T.V. station. I am really looking forward to all of the new experiences and new friends I will make this year.
