December 2011
The month of December has really just been a break and I was
really glad finals were over. I did pretty well on my finals. I studied really
hard to get good grades but the averages on my finals were C’s. I did great on
my French final by getting A’s on both parts. The final I especially studied for
was my Advanced Physical Science final. I didn’t do as well as I thought and it
upset me because I studied really hard for that final. My winter break wasn’t
really exciting either. Most of my break I stayed home spending time with my
family.
November 2011
The month of November has been fun. This whole month my goal was to finish all my
homework and I have accomplished it. I
was really excited for Thanksgiving break. My Thanksgiving was wonderful. I spent it with my family but didn’t spend it
with my aunt and cousins this year. After
Thanksgiving I just couldn’t wait for school to start because my break was
really boring. Just yesterday I went on
a choir tour. The tour was really fun
and it made me glad, because we made the little kids laugh and happy with our
songs.
October 2011
The month of October has not been really good for me, except
for my Quinceanera. My Quinceranera was
a blast. Everything turned out great. My grades haven’t been that good either,
but I’m working on them. Homecoming was also this month, but I didn’t go. One
of my really close friends was diagnosed with leukemia. You can tell this
hasn’t really been a great month.
September 2011
The month of September has not been going so
well for me. A lot of personal and family situations have been going on, but
besides that I have been doing well in school. My grades aren't where I want
them to be yet, but I’m getting their slowly. Lately, I've been doing really well
in all of my classes. The one thing I am mostly focusing on is the tests. Hopefully my next test won’t be as hard as the tests I've already taken. Choir has always been the one class to cheer me up. This Sunday is Open House
and I will be singing with my class. I hope it will be fun.
August 2011
The first month back to school was awesome. I’m happy to be a sophomore this year. I just need to finish this year and two more years. I have already met a lot of
new people, mostly freshman. So far my grades are like a roller coaster. They
keep going up and down. My goal this year is to go to my junior year with at least
a 3.7 gpa. I know I can accomplish my goal if I try really hard and do all my
homework. This year I’m going to be working really hard. I’m also looking
forward to all the dances and rallies that are coming up. I hope this year is
better than last year.
January 2011
The month of December was pretty hard. I'm trying to get all my
grades up and keep them that way. This month was all about catching up on
my work. I made it through finals which were difficult. This
semester was a success though, I ended it with a 3.21 GPA.
October 2010
My first couple of months at Christian Brothers High School have been
great. Last time I checked my power school my GPA was a 3.71 and I am happy
with it but I would be happier if it were a 4.0 or at least a 3.9. I sang
with my choir class for open house at Christian Brothers. I was excited
and nervous at the same time. We sang two songs , La Luna and
Amavolovolo. I have also joined Hip-Hop dance club and it is so much fun. We
meet at every falcon flex which is every Thursday. We performed at a block
party before the Holy Bowl. The Holy Bowl was a really good game between
Christian Brothers and their rivals, Jesuit. The freshmen won the first
game. The second game was JV and it was a tie. The third game was varsity
and unfortunately they lost but it was a close game.
September 2010
Lock-in was so much fun! I met a lot of new friends. We started by
playing games with our groups which helped us to get to know one another.
Then we went to the main lawn where we watched random people tackling the
football dummy dressed like a St. Francis girl. It was so
funny! My friend and I had so much fun dancing to DJ High-Top and before
we knew it they announced the last song. We went outside and talked with
the some of the seniors who told us about the activities at CB. After
watching a movie, they showed us a video they had made of the night's events.
We all watched the sun come up and it was so beautiful. I will never
forget that day.
