November 2011

The month of November was very fun. I had a great Thanksgiving break. Before the break I helped give a nice meal to the poor people that wouldn’t have a warm meal to eat on Thanksgiving. Another good thing about the dinner was the homeless people were not alone. They were really happy to have a nice meal with someone because they would have been alone that day if we did not host that dinner. Now Christmas break is almost here and so are finals. That means that I am going to be very busy studying.

October 2011
The month of October was very fun. I was really anticipating that I would have lots of fun during Halloween this year. I could not wait to have fun with my friends and family. I was also excited for soccer because we won second place in our division and we made it to playoffs. Even though I was out sick, I am still happy they made it to playoffs and we won our first playoff game.

September 2011
September was so fun.  This month we had the opportunity to sign up for clubs.  It is called club day. I only signed up for two clubs.  I signed up for basketball club, and for the MVP club, kids for kids.

August 2011
This summer I had a lot of fun. I did a lot of things with my friends
and family. The most important thing of my summer was reading my summer
reading books and writing a report on one of them. The first day of
school was very exciting for me because I got to meet my new teachers and
my new classmates. This year I'm trying out for the soccer team again.
I'm looking forward to another good successful season. But this
time I hope we get first place instead of second place like last year.

January 2011My Christmas break was a lot of fun. Most of my break I spent at home with my family. Also I played basketball every day at the park near my house. I also went to visit my cousin and I played basketball with him and his neighbors. On Christmas day I was at my cousins house and my whole family was there opening presents and exchanging gifts.

I enjoyed spending the holidays with my family.

October 2010
It is my sophomore year at CB.  This might be a little harder than last year.  Last year I didn't play any sports but this year I am on the soccer team at CB.  Now I don't have as much free time to do my homework so I have to make time for doing it after sports in order to get it done.  Also, I will have more work this year and it will be a little harder.  The classes are going to be more difficult but I know I can make it by paying attention in class and studying hard.  I will be able to maintain high grade point average throughout the whole year.

September 2010
I have now been in school for a month. Holy bowl was a lot of fun. Our varsity team lost to Jesuit but the JV tied. I didn’t see the freshman game but they won.  There were a lot of people at Holy Bowl. I had fun because most of my friends went.  The stadium was packed and there was a lot of excitement. Our soccer league games have just started and so far we have won all three. We play Rio Linda High School next and I think it will be an easy win. I think we will be able to win all or most of our games. We did pretty good in our pre-season games and I hope it carries over to our league games.

March 2010
School has been very busy this week.  I had a midterm in literature and composition, a chapter test in study skills and a map test in history.  Today we had a spirit rally and if we wore our spirit shirts to school, we could wear jeans or whatever pants we wanted.  My G.P.A. is at an all time high of 3.43!  I am very proud of my religion grade, which is now a B-.  I have worked hard to raise that grade by studying the Bible (Gospel of Mark) and focusing on each homework assignment.  The school year is almost over and I'm going to do my best to maintain my good grades.

October 2009
So far, I have had a good time at Christian Brothers. Right now, I am reading a novel called Of Mice and Men in my literature class. I have passed all of the tests we have had on this novel.  I got so into the novel, I read ahead and finished the novel. Now I just reread the chapters. I feel confident that I will pass all the quizzes.

September 2009
I have now been at Christian Brothers High School for six weeks. I am happy to announce that my G.P.A. is a 3.43!  Yesterday in class I had to give a speech about the life of St. Anthony of Egypt, and present a poster.  I learned that St. Anthony was like a father to the monks and that he worked hard and prayed a lot.  Our speeches were three to four minutes long and I had my speech memorized.  I was nervous when I was asked to speak and very nervous while I presented.  Hopefully next time I will be more relaxed.

August 2009
I have now been a Freshman at Christian Brothers High School for two weeks, and I have a 3.8 G.P.A.!  I thought CB was going to be very serious, but I am already having fun in my classes. One day in History class we played a game that involved scoring points by building cities, settlements, and armies.  My partner and I built the largest army and we were in the lead for most of the class.  Then the competition began as another team went ahead of us.  Just when I was only one point away from victory, the bell rang!  I actually wanted history class to be longer, but regardless of the defeat, I had a lot of fun!
